With a complete valve amp signal path recreated in miniature using carefully crafted transistor-based circuitry, this compact pedal nails the sound, feel and personality of one of history's quirkiest combos.
We've captured the sound of 6V6 power amp overdrive, valve rectifier sag, ragged phase inverter distortion, and the fat gritty tone of the Tweed Deluxe's unconventional preamp - including different valve types. From articulate edge-of-breakup tones to thick lead sounds and all-out, about-to-explode fuzz, this hugely responsive tone is a real players' favourite. Is it sophisticated and refined? No. Does it get the job done with style and bags of character? Absolutely!
The DELUXE55 also comes equipped with our innovative POST EQ circuit. This meticulously designed post-drive filter tailors the output of the pedal to work seamlessly with traditional amps, cabinet simulators or flat power amps, so you can enjoy vintage Tweed tone in any kind of rig. With premium quality components and a brushed stainless-steel enclosure, the DELUXE55 is built to the high standard you expect from Origin Effects.
